"My life has been an extraordinary adventure.
The time feels right to delve into the archive
and tell my story before I croak.

The biggest ambition we had was
to play in a club and have people
like what we were playing. We
never dreamt about making a
record. It never crossed our
minds that we would ever be on
TV or radio. Pie in the sky to
think we might go abroad some
time, because we were playing
uncommercial music. We were
playing pure blues.

I didn’t think of it as progressing anywhere. It was the most exciting thing in my life. The sound we had, no-one compared with that
sound in those days, no one. I started to collect the little bits and pieces as we travelled. If was very lucky I grabbed a little
poster and someone would give me a photo they had taken. And it just slowly escalated into this mountain.
